Charles D. Warnock

Charles D. Warnock works through drawing and painting. His featured works are from his series ?Full Spectrum,? a collection of breathtaking floral paintings. Warnock chose to work with flowers because of the way each bloom represents the life cycle in its entirety. He points out that the blooms represent both genders of the human race, and may therefore be likened to human relationships. Warnock emphasizes the motion the petals possess within the confines of the canvas is much like the difficulty and change human beings must experience within the frame of life. Also, he feels that the vibrant colors he uses represent the anticipation and hope of each new day dawning in the great cycle of life. He attributes the increasing quality of his work as an artist to his professors, for their guidance and support, and to relationships with fellow artists. Finally, he feels his studies at the Lamar Dodd School of Art have greatly increased his technique and skill.
